2007 & 2008 efforts:
Oct. 28, 2007 - Stripping the paint off the hood - have the it cleaned off on the underside so far... Metal is a bit thin on the reinforcement panel, think I am going to use some Metal-to-metal on the holes. Will coat it with Eastwood Rust-Stop paint before using PPG K36 Epoxy Primer... Check it out so far....

...after the primer and filler on the once rusty underside... (update April 7, 2008)
March 3, 2008 - Working on the dash panel now that the weather is warmer. Hoping to get a coat of primer on the hood in the next few weeks as it gets above 70 degrees.
April 7, 2008 - Almost ready to put the K36 primer on the hood, waiting for a dry day.
Found me a 67' 440 engine block, forged crank for a good price - plan on putting that in the car. It needs a 0.030" bore, but I will use my already rebuilt '906 heads from my 383 to save a few dollars.
April 20, 2008 - After alot of filling & sanding -- here is the hood. I had some trouble filling in the holes left from the hood pins, heat issues with the welding, so I had to do more filling than I like.
Here it is after the K36 primer - looks good!
And while I was at it, I painted the top of the dash - it was looking a bit ratty..
